Hello, and thank you for listening to Sunny Bear Radio. This is your Sunny Bear Radio news animal update. Today we begin close to home. Sunny Bear Rescue says Sunny Bear Rescue Coffee Co. is doing well. The Coffee Co website is continuing to improve, and the Pet Food Pantry is reaching more families as need grows. On the Coffee Co site, the mission is simple. Every cup helps give a rescue animal a second chance. Sunny Bear Rescue wants to remind people that their pet food pantry assistance is there to help families through temporary hardship so pets can stay where they belong with the people who love them. Sunny Bear Rescue also says a recent donation added 967 pounds of dry dog food to the pantry. And that kind of support can echo far beyond one delivery day. It helps stretch budgets, calm worries, and keep tails wagging at home. That is some pretty positive momentum. The other big sunny bear update involves the treat app. On the treat app, players choose a real rescue dog, interact with a virtual version of that pup, and earn real meals, treats, and other supplies for rescue animals. Treat says users have already generated more than 40 million treats, meals, medical items, and toys for rescues and shelters. And participating rescues can receive a minimum of 1,500 pounds of annual dry food. Sunnybear Rescue says listeners need a direct link download the app because they will get extra points. So if you want to help Sunny Bear earn extra credit, email radio at sunnybearrescue.org. It is a small action with real-world impact, and it turns a little screen time into full bowls for real pups. And in one fresh regional animal story, the National Aquarium announced on April 29th that it had successfully rehabilitated and released to told stunned sea turtles that had arrived in December, with 10 more still receiving care. The aquarium said the turtles, including Green and Kemp's Ridley sea turtles, were released on April 14th off the coast of North Carolina after a very cold winter delayed their return. Noah Fisheries explains that cold stunning happens when water temperatures fall below about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, leaving sea turtles weak, inactive, and sometimes unable to swim. So this was not a quick splash and dash rescue. It was careful rehabilitation, patience, and teamwork. And that makes it a story worth celebrating. So taken together, today's update is a reminder that animal welfare happens on every scale. It happens when a pantry helps one family get through a hard stretch, when purpose-driven coffee supports rescue work. A phone app turns virtual play into real care. And when wildlife teams guide endangered turtles back toward the ocean after a brutal winter. Thank you for listening to Sunny Bear Radio, and stay tuned for more great music and more updates. Now back to the fun of Sunny Bear Radio.
